This news coming to us from Haute couture week in Paris: came as a complete surprise to me and many others I am sure! There was no shortage of memorable moments at the Spring 2020 edition of Couture Week, in Paris, where top labels present elaborate custom designs to selected audiences. The star studded event boasts a few claims that hyped the night, between Boy Georges stellar performance of Culture Club's 1983 hit, "Church of the Poison Mind," which saw attendees jumped up to dance and clap along. Gaultier was held aloft in the middle of the stage, as if at a festival, and was clearly loving the moment seen below.

Always leading in creative genius & stand out fashion shows Gaultier has remained at the top of his industry and one of my favorites always with a keen eye for precision & style. I have loved wearing his self named scent for 10 yrs now, and after 50 years of work he announced his departure from the runway. Being that his long list of work has included many well known names in fashion, most felt the need to attend this event and another thing that set this one apart from others.
Gaultier sent out nearly 200 looks for his final show and gave us everything we could've asked for! Fashion A-listers including Carla Bruni, Eva Herzigová, Christian Lacroix and Simon Le Bon, whose wife Yasmin starred on the runway were front and center. The catwalk offered a number of surprise cameos, including Dita Von Teese in a shimmering pink belted minidress, and Karlie Kloss in a up-cycled plastic bodice with massive bubble-wrap skirt.

French singer and television presenter Amanda Lear was carried in by two men wearing crystal T-shirts and heels, while Canadian model Coco Rocha showed off a high-kicking Irish jig. This show included many other designers and brands like Schiaparelli, who opted for slouchy daytime creations alongside extravagant evening wear, Stand-out pieces, Dior, Ralph & Russo, and Chanel set the industry on fire and all of hollywood was talking. Naomi Campbell took to the internet to address Gaultiers accolades as well saying : "What can I say !! So many years of incredible memories.. Every show, every campaign, every moment working with you has been an absolute honor and pleasure 🙏🏾 The impact and inspiration you have left on this industry is beyond words. Creative visionary. Industry leader. #LEGEND
